The value of clear and structured thinking

We are at a training session today show casing some of our service improvement projects.

We told participants about the value of process mapping as a way of structuring your thinking, with examples from both health and social care:

  • The value of mapping the care proceedings process to a social care organisation
  • Unpicking the discharge process to understand delays getting medication to wards
  • Mapping Clinical pathways in paediatric A&E and turning expected outcomes to performance monitoring
