Amy Maclean, Head of Patient Experience, Birmingham Women’s NHS Foundation Trust

As the Head of Patient Experience at Birmingham Women’s NHS Foundation Trust, Amy manages the Patient Advice and Liaison Support (PALS) the Complaints Department Team, Patient Experience Co-ordinator, the Linkworkers and Interpreting Services in order to ensure the effective management of patient experience.  Amy actively contributes to the wider governance agenda taking a lead for identified patient experience improvement initiatives where agreed to support the achievement of the Trusts quality objectives.  Her role is to actively act as a catalyst for change, feeding back patients’ views, recommending actions to solve problems and working with colleagues to ensure that action is taken and evolve their monitoring systems to capture informal and formal feedback.
